General Information:

OFFICE HOURS: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F (closed for lunch from 12:00 to 1:00)

Building Permits are issued from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 4:15 p.m. On Fridays, permits are not issued after 3:45 p.m.
Cash, check, and money orders are accepted.

OBTAINING PERMITS: Building permit applications can be issued in the office at 102 E. 5th Street in Scottville or may be obtained by downloading a building permit application. Building permit applications handled through the mail require an additional $25 administrative fee. Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing permits can be downloaded and returned by mail (no mail-in fee) with an original signature or can be obtained at the office. Permits cannot be completed online at this time.

CITY OF LUDINGTON OR PERE MARQUETTE RESIDENT?: This department handles Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing permits for all of Mason County.
